About

Lisa Bloomingdale Bell is a portrait and landscape artist, known for her paintings of dogs, cats, horses, wildlife and Californian and European landscapes. Her many commissions have taken her across the globe to practice her particular art — appreciation of the 19th century French academics, coupled with California-style plein air techniques.

Her museum exhibitions include four of the "On Location In Malibu" exhibits at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University and the Phippen Museum in Prescott, Arizona; "Treasures of the Sierra Nevada" at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. She has exhibited at all of the Contemporary Masters ‘East of Eden’ shows at the Pasadena Museum of History and in the juried California Art Club Gold Medal Expositions for the last 15 years.

Lisa Bloomingdale Bell is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, Oil Painters of America and an Artist Member of the California Art Club of which she serves on their board.
